"new post" icons on main page

I don't know if anything can be done about it without changing templates and maybe it's just me but I have to sort of squint my eyes and concentrate to see which of the little circles are green (new posts).

Obviously the color is different but I guess the tone of the gray and green are similar or maybe it's all that shading within the graphic.

Or maybe I need my eyes checked, who knows...

Never had a problem with it myself but maybe CJ can do something a little different.

I just use the show unread posts since last visit thread, so I don't have that problem.

ps. Seriously though, I would think the color could be corrected. There is even an option to let the user decide their theme when on this forum.

ok the test worked.
Give me a few days to come up with something to fit the theam.

Maybe:
.50  in a white circle = no new posts
.75 on a red sticker = new posts

CJ, I see where you've applied a new post-icon.  Maybe using a transparent background won't work here.  Try the same background color as the area its sitting on.

Actually they should be transparent, but i was lazy.

Although, i don't think .25 or .35 stickers existed. Those were the prices that was getting covered up.
I think .75 was the most common. And i have seen 1.00 stickers.

I would agree that .75 was the most common, but I've got a .60 and a 1.25 in red also and a $1.50 in white with red numbers.

I know this is stupid, but why now just new and no new or something similar. I thought when I first saw it, that I was on a pay site. While I soon realized that was impossible, new browsers might not.
