I figured I'd go ahead and put the rest of my immediate want list up. I realize that a few of the items on it are, what some might call, über rare (e.g., Trash Comix, Running Dog), but what the hell. As always, my preference is high-grade, but I will make concessions for the rarer books.

I still need to post my British want list, however, the items on that are exponentially more obscure than those already listed here.
Ahhh so you like Chas do you... :icon_madu:

Very, very nice! I really like his horror work. I wish he'd do more of it. Have you ever seen any issues of Gore Shriek? It's an underground-like horror anthology that ran for a dozen issues, or so. He contributed a few stories throughout.
Thanks!
Dude, I love Gore Shriek! I am still trying to fill in the blanks on those...
I need: V01 Issues 2, 4 & 7? and up??
V02 Issues 4? and up??
Yeah I plan on getting the above framed. I know one of the members in that band so I have the album cover as well signed by all the members, good stuff!
I met Chas once at Chiller Con. in NJ, seemed like an ok guy.

You have a Gore Shriek Vol. 1 other than the first issue? Looking online, it appears that Vol. 1 only had an issue #1, Vol.2 had issues #1, 2, 2 1/2 and 3, also there's an Annual and a graphic novel called Gore Shriek Delectus.
...unless this is a different Gore Shriek than the one published in the U.S.A by Fantaco.
As far as I know this is what I have...
Title Volume Issue Print
Gore Shriek 2 1 1st
Gore Shriek 2 2 1st
Gore Shriek 2 2.5 1st
Gore Shriek 2 3 1st
Gore Shriek 1 1st
Gore Shriek 3 1st
Gore Shriek 5 1st
Gore Shriek 6 1st
Gore Shriek "Delectus" 1st
Gore Shriek (Annual) 1 1st
Jason
As far as I know, it goes like this:
Volume 1, #1-6 and a special mail-away #6-1/2
Volume 2, #1, #2, #2-1/2 and #3
Annual #1
Delectus G/N
So, 13 items in all.
weird, neither Mile High or Lone Star have any of the Vol. 1 books other than issue #1, no pictures, nothing. To be honest, that USUALLY means the books don't exist, but if you guys have them, then I was obviously wrong in trusting them in this case. :mgfootinmouth:
Should have cross-referenced with eBay, which is what I usually do.
I don't own all of the books, but I have all of them in PDF format, complete with front and back covers. If you dig around, you can find them for download.
I just found this auction, which has a copy of Vol. 1, No. 4, which seems to be one of the ones you need, Jason: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120197737604 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120197737604).

Yeah I saw that. Does anyone need any of the other books in that? I could put a last minute snip in and we could split the cost. I just need that one as you said...
Jason
Three books added above. Paying very, very well.
Did Chas pass away, I know I read he has cancer earlier this year.
PM sent.
From another forum:
"As everyone here knows,Chas. Balun was been suffering from inoperable lymphatic cancer and he had to go through chemotherapy last week, with Chas. saying that he's doing much better now, courtesy of all of the fans that have e-mailed him and send him "get well' cards.
Shawn,if you any latest news on Chas. to add here(that nobody has yet heard about on any of the other sites),just let us know here on the board."
I think someone said George DiCaprio still goes to cons somewhere??? He would probably be the best bet to find info. for Spaz as he distributed them...

Jeez, I hope he's still around. I didn't even know he was sick.

FUCK ME! That's Crazy!!
When I got that original artwork above I tried to make contact with him about it and never heard back from him, this mid to late 07. I also contacted Shawn at Blackest Heart as well and never heard back from him either so I just said fuck it.
Man... He must be pretty damn sick.

I saw Shawn replied to that thread.
"I have no new info for you unfortunately, other than he is doing better and he is having a break from the Chemo now. He is working on new designs for us now as well. I'll let you know as the info comes in. Thanks for caring -shawn"
Jason
ps. Sorry for the hi-jack
I got all excited, thinking that you found one of the comics on my want list!
I'm relieved to hear that Chas is doing better.
Well I did met Chas once in NJ so if I ever know that I am going to run into him again, I can ask him about those minis... On another note, if you are looking for Chas original art, I can maybe help you as I know someone who has some.
Jason
As much as I love having original art, I just don't have the space for it.
Fair Enough.
Jason
