Title: Frontier Psychiatrist
Post by: Reverend on December 20, 2007, 12:54:17 PM
I'd heard this song awhile ago. It was in the soundtrack of a movie I watched the other day, so it got stuck in my head. I figured I'd Google it and see what turned up. So, with no further adieu, I offer you this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8BWBn26bX0 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8BWBn26bX0).

I have no clue what the hell I just watched but I like the tune. With that said, if you like that music I highly recommend the following: Invisible Scratch Pickles, Cut Chemist & DJ Shadow which I'm sure can all be found on Youtube as well.

As a matter of fact, I watched one of DJ Shadow's videos just yesterday. I had never heard of him before.

Yeah, I'd never heard of this before. Similiar to some of the other stuff I listen to. Here's one I like, not much to look at, but the sound quality is pretty good.

Pushead did the cover for that album, nice stuff. I am very familiar with this artist, its Kool Keith from Ultra Magnetic MCs. I think but am not 100% sure that is Kutmasta Kurt on the tables.

Nope, Q-Bert was the turntablist on Dr. Octagonecologyst, that's what made me think about this since you had the links to Q-Bert in your above post.

The Dr. Octagon project was Keith with Dan the Automator producing and Q-Bert. Kutmasta Kurt did work with Keith quite a bit, on his Sex Style and his Dr. Dooom project and also on the later Diesel Truckers record.

I am a huge Kool Keith fan, easily my favorite rap artist.

Never thought I'd be talking about this stuff on an underground comix board!

hehehe Cool Man.

A friend of mine worked for Ruffhouse in Philly when Kool Keith was on the label and sent me promo copies of Black Elvis. I know he has a few pictures with him, I'll have to dig around and see if I can find them.
