Foo #1, 2, 3, (2nd Jay Lynch print)
Foopgoop Frolics
For You With Love (R. Crumb) (mini)
Four-Fisted Tales #2 (2nd print? $1.50) More likely #2 $1.25 doesn't exist, typo.
Freak Brothers #1 (1st print / no orange box) new HRP $482.75
Freak Brothers #1 (3rd print) with purple .50c cover price, white tire, back cover with flag with blue.
I'm almost positive that the copies with a green tint on the cover is a different print I'm calling a true 4th print. This copy is about .33cm taller, much different staple placement and most notably a clear scratch along the length of the orange (both) sides of the back cover that isn't on the non-green version.
Freak Brothers #1 ($1.00 black cover price)
Freak Brothers #1 ($2.00 cover price white w/ black # one without & 1 with Can. Price)
$3.95 versions of FB #1 not in black circle with white price.
Freak Brothers #2 (FB #2 add on back cover for blue and color inside cover versions)
Freak Brothers #2 (5th print) (B&W/Blue interior cover variants)
Freak Brothers #2 with a $2.00 cover price in black (with a smaller 2.95 Canadian price under the $2.00) but haven't seen this (true 12th?) red $2.00 cover price print. This would make the other black with yellow circle $2.00 cover price the 13th printing.
Freak Brothers #1-13 ($4.95?)
Freak Brothers #0 (U.K. variant / 1.99), #2 (blue U.K. variant 1.50 (also FB #4), 1.99) (orange up to 1.25) (Hassle Free Press .40p, .45p) (Knockabout 50p, 60p, 75p, 85p sticker, 95p, etc.)
Freak Brothers #1 (13th pink print, numbered w/ letter, numbered & sealed w/ letter, non-numbered)
FB#1 - 16th - $1.50 cover several price & back cover flag varitions; 1 has blue w/ white stars, red price, yellow bckgrnd; 1 has solid pink w/ no stars, red price, white bckgrnd and 1 blue w/ pink stars, red price, white bckgrnd
FB#2 - 12th - #2.00 cover price circle variations; 1 has black price, white bckgrnd, 1 has red price, white bckgrnd; & 1 has black price, yellow bckgrnd.
Freak Brothers #1 with a $2.00 cover price. Looks to go in between the current 16th ($1.50) and 17th ($2.00) cover price printings. Would call it a true 17th printing
24 known printings so far.
$1.00 cover price in black circle with red. new 15th?
$1.50 cover price in yellow circle with red (back cover flag has blue with white stars). new 17th?
(2 variations of 18th print, 1 with pink stars on back cover flag and 1 wiht all pink (no stars) on back cover flag?)
$2.00 cover price in white circle with only black $2.00. new 19th? (the other one is similar with smaller $2.00 cover price in black but with writing underneath (Canadian price) = new 20th?)
This would make the $2.95 a new 21st.
$3.25 a new 22nd.
$3.95 a new 23rd.
and the recently found $4.95 a 24th.
The whole run of Freak Bros. #0-13 current printings arrived today from Last Gasp.
They were all 4.95 cover price with the following exceptions:
#0 (UG Classics #1) was 4.95 white w/ red sticker over 3.95 cover;
#4 was 4.95 white w/ red sticker over sm. blue 3.95 cover;
#8 4.95 white w/ red sticker over 3.95 cover;
#5 4.95 was a notably blue-grey sky (vs sky blue)

Very nice. So, is this the new home for this thread? I was going to say that the other one had become way too unwieldy. Good show.
I guess it could be, post 'em here...
Updated list. I'm going to start posting the updates here and others are welcome. Original thread is here:
http://www.comicspriceguide.com/forum2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=37118
Quadrant is listed as 1983-1989, but I think it was from 1983-1986 and the hard cover came out in 1990. So I think 1989 is wrong.
Also, the first book titles "HellRazor" copyright 1983, came out around Summer 1986.
Anarchy #2 and 3 have the 2nd prints listed before the 1st prints.
Must have been drunk, but missed the lists. I know for a fact that counterfeits of Turtles 1 and 2 exist and well as for goobedygook 1 and 2. If was offered them when they came out. They were done by the same person who did the Cerebus. An interesting thing about the Turtlemania gold. It contains Corben. Thus it might be considered the rarest Corben (other than ashcans). The HPL tribute (has Corben) HC might give it a run since there were 35 printed but the 1st 5 were limited with a thicker cover and had multiple autographs. The answer to the question you are about to ask is yes.
Adventures of Fat Freddy's Cat is listed twice. First 2 printings under Adventures of Fat Freddy's Cat and 3 printings (now with a $5.95 3rd print) listed under Fat Freddy's Cat (sc).
Also, there's no space between Fresca Zizis & Fresh Blood Funny Book.
Shouldn't People's Comics (6th) read $2.95? Was there a $4.95 cover price printing also?
Hay guys, all of these updates are going into our wiki too. Right?
Right?
In the color section of the FUG, I see one in the top corner that looks to be French Canadian from Fantagraphics called DB des jeunes faches that doesn't seem to be listed in the FUG. Anyone have any info. on this one?
Pure Joy Comix is listed twice right next to each other.
Pipt n' Rekt should state #2 even though there was only one?
RI Auditorium should actually be R.I. Auditorium.
Info. regarding Deep 3-D (2nd print) from Fishnuts eBay listing.
"Deep 3-D Comix #1 and it is a second printing. Of course, the glasses are included and they are stapled to the front cover, as all were from that run. AND it's is the real second printing from January 1972...says so inside front cover. The information on this title in the fUG is incorrect, with the book listed therein as a second printing is really the third printing, etc. Further, the listing show 1971 as the publishing date, which is incorrect as the first printing clearly states publish date of Summer 1970. Since this book is not accurately listed in the fUG, we can only estimate it's value at around $20."

Under Bizarre Sex #1 (7th-9th print) is states same as #2 (2nd print). Does that mean that the contents are not of #1 but of #2, or is this a typo and it should read #1?
Auto-be Recycled has the 2nd print listed before the 1st print.
So does Bitch in Heat #1 & 2.
Four-Fisted Tales #2 has a $1.50 cover price, not $1.25. Might have already listed this???
Rat Fink Comics had 9 issues, not just 3.
Gang Bang #2 has 2nd print listed before the 1st print.
There was a signed and numbered (of 100) version of Smoot #1.

I noticed that FUG doesn't list "Toe-Jamb Funnies" & both issues 1 & 2 of "Frezno Funnies," altho both are in Kennedy. Will these be added to the supplement? The Hippie Comix website says that the supplement was due out last fall but when I called them they said it's been postponed to this July. The site doesn't have any provision for adding suggestions, tho (not that I could find anyway).

Just use this thread, Dan checks it occasionally.
Don't forget to add Frezno Funnies 1 & 2. The 2nd one is a tabloid.

I put up a couple copies of Pettibone's Captive Chains (not listed in the FUG, but is listed in the JK long before Pettibone became known) for sale at $60 and they both sold within a few hours so I'm thinking that jwcomix's price of $158 (from a sale in 2003) is probably about right for retail. This was an Underground Comix and not one of the many mini-comix Pettibone did, and the only one of Pettibone's full comix that was listed in the JK.
Also sold a copy of Dependant Lividity by Robert Williams (also not listed in the FUG) for $60 that only had 400 copies printed in 1989.
One more, a copy of Hup by Gary Panter (from approx. 1977) sold for $30 right quick, this wasn't listed in JK either, but is mentioned by "the Father of Punk Art" in this interview as his first work after he arrived in L.A.

Has anyone noticed that the prices listed for San Francisco #1 comix are listed at $1.00 for good, $2.00 for Fine & $3.00 for NM ?? with a $300 HRP. :01_wtf:

yes, that was caught as soon as the Fogel Guide was released.
Thanks for the info Brother J.
something that struck me is why Fogel goes by 9.4 for NM and OS goes by 9.2. Isn't a high grade Ug a lot less likely with the low print runs? I would think 9.0 would be a better choice?

What do you consider a low print run? For Last Gasp stuff that was printed in batches of 10-20,000 copies, 9.4 seems fair. When you're talking about something that was printed once, thirty years ago, in a run of 500, 9.0 is much more realistic.
Even the Last Gasp stuff is comparatively low print. Marvel and DC print runs in those days was in 100,000's while the average for Ug's is 5-10K.

I'm confused. (big surprise)
Isn't the grade a mesure of quality?
What does the print run (quantity) have to do wjth it?
The low print runs comparatively mean less likely a chance to come across higher grade copies is what I was implying.
LCD: Kieron Drwyer's Lowest Comic Denominator #0 (1st print), 0 (2nd print), 1, 2, 3 by Fogelcomix / Prodical Turd Productions and the ashcans (at least #1 & 2) by Prodical Turd Productions / Sound 'n' Fury Graphics.
Update: Found it actually under "Kieron Drwyer's...", but I think this is an error as the indica states "LCD: Kieron..."
One I just found.
Wimmen's Comix #12 is $2.50 (not $2) cover price and is in 3-D.
Image #5 and 6 should denote Mag. size.
Fark Comix #1 isn't listed.
Fleshapoids from Earth is not listed (hopefully nobody mentioned that before)
You could just go through Kennedy and match it, entry for entry. There are hundreds that still aren't listed or mentioned in this thread.
I think that would be a waste of time, since some of the entrys have limited appeal. I mentioned Fleshapoids from Earth because it is a Dave Geary book from 1974 that is very collectible in my opinion. Certainly more so than Anal Intruders from Uranus that is listed in the FUG.
Limited appeal? I suppose it's a matter of opinion, but I know what you're saying. As far as I'm concerned, just about any listing in Kennedy is more appealing that the hundreds of generic porn titles listed in FUG.

gotta agree with that. I like porn just as much as the next guy, but most of the Eros crap really doesn't belong, IMO.
Limited appeal to the masses (not to us enlightened folk), but did the porn listings really help Fogel sales? Maybe it got him a couple of more ads? It just did not appeal to me at all. Maybe he did it to distance his work more from Kennedy. Anyone here ever talk to him about this?.
I honestly have to wonder how many people out there actually collect titles such as Blowjob and Dildo. And for those who do, do they really want to know how much they're worth? I just can't see the vast majority of those sorts of titles ever being worth much more than cover price.
Good point, going through the FUG it appears that most of those titles are priced in NM at cover price.
I think that the porn comics in the FUG is a bonus, just wish they were tabbed in a separate section. For one, I love the 1st issue of Head and there's a couple others that don't come to mind...
I just flipped through it to check prices. Just about anything from Aircel, Carnal and Eros is valued at $4-5 in NM.
I completely agree with tabbing them into a section of their own. I'm sure there is a market for them but the range of prices surely isn't very wide. If you follow a specific pornstar, you'll buy the book anyway whether the printing is 100 copies or 100,000 copies and not based of much anything else. I can't see any of them being collectible based on rarity. I remember some companies in the early 90s putting out comics with photos of women, no nudity though. A few months after they came out, you could get a little money for them at a con but a few years after that they turned into a pile of crap.
Read that Heritage sold an American Splendor #1 in 9.4 for $1322, so that should be update for HRP if verified.
Eternal Truth isn't listed
the Official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Coloring Album (1979) had a least 3 printings, not listed in FUG.
Has Irons art.
Middle Class Fantasies #1 has a $1.00 (2nd print), #2 has a $1.00 cover price (not .50).
Also, Anabolis Insania (1975) is not listed in the FUG.
Booo! Comix #1 not listed.
Adults Only #1 (2nd print) has a $2.50 cover price, there is also a $2.95 (3rd print).
Might have been an Anal Intruders from Uranus #3 not listed.
