Title: Zap Comix #0 (1st print)
Post by: 50Cent #II (1st print) on February 28, 2008, 10:14:56 PM
$86 for one with tape pulls (or pieces missing) from the cover and now this water stained one for over $200: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220204762014&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBUAA:US:1123
Price seems to going up on this one, I remember about a year ago asking you guys if one with water stains on the cover was worth a $100 someone was offering me and you said no.

This one with lesser stains looks like a bargain now...

The one that just sold for $200 is the same book as the one you said had "lesser stains". The winner of the $66 copy turned around, re-listed it and made himself a nice tidy profit. Compare the stains, you can see it's the same book.

mnwoodsmith has developed a bit of a following, which has raised his sale prices. I've gotten some good deals from him in the past.

Of course, his auction description was better than the auction description he bought from. He listed FIRST PRINTING in the title and he included a scan of the back cover, which is the obvious way to prove the comic was a first print.
