Clay also submitted numerous small articles for new books in many of the early Hustlers. I think the section was called Bits & Pieces?  I'll dig through those and post which Hustler issue had whatever book.

Now that it's on this site, what will it go for? Last time, I got outbid on the Rogue at $25 by AHKUMULATE. A search the next day bagged me one for under $5.

...and you wonder why I didn't want eBay adds on the site. Well at least I have something to bid on now. ;)

I don't think it'll go for much more than opening bid.
If you've got the Rogue, can you scan the missing photos of Trina for the shrine?

I've been helping a guy out putting some old books and tabloids on ABE, and came across a run of old San Francisco Ball tabloid/magazines.  Every so often they review UG with illos by Crumb, Corben, Trina, etc.  The issues so far are from 1970-1976.  It was a tabloid similar to Screw and should be appearing on ABE's site late next week.  The guy has had some billing issues with ATT, but now that they are resolved the files will be uploaded next Weds., the day I work for him. Not as slick as Hustler, but definitely more obscure.

Clay also submitted a small article in Hustler for "Ball".  I'll post that soon.
I have a few.  Good stuff.

In an October ish of Hustler (I think it was either Oct. of '76, '77 or '78), I wrote a long humorous lead article called "Showered by Howard", wherein I did an extensive real-life investigation into one of the strange hobbies of the late Howard Hughes.  The article was headlined on the cover...and it was illustrated by some surfer artist friend of Rick Griffin's.

November, 1977.
I have it, just can't find it yet.

If you PGX it and grades at least 9.2, let me know and we can combine it with something from my collection of Michael Jackson's old noses.

I wrote the celebrity urine article as well.  I got to talk to some interesting people on that assignment.  But yeah.  Both the Hughes article and the celeb urine thing are in that ish.
