First, a copy has already sold on eBay for $900. Second, it is not the rare gray stock cover edition. I have a side by scan, but it really doesn't show the difference for some reason. I will try for another scan Wed.
I picked up the issue of Weirdom right before this one (#12) for less than $20 the other day. Not a bad buy, IMO, even with no Corben.
It's not that it has Corben, but that 13 is the first Corben comic. (VOC 12 only had strips)
Almost 4 days still left to go and it's still going up.

Arnie, what do you mean, it only had strips? I thought Monsters Rule was a real comic story. It wasn't a short-form comic strip by conventional stardards. You're the expert, so 'splain.
Weirdom 13 was a complete story and comic by Corben. The Voice of Comicdoms 12 -13 etc, until 16 and 17 were one page of flack and white of Corben. The VOC 12 was the first Corben comic page although I think Fantasy and Science Fiction magazine had the first Corben (a cover).
But, Weirdom 13 is the first Corben comic. Almost a holy grail for Corben collectors. And there are 2 variants. The gray one is rare, I have seen only 2 copies. I have one and our friend 1stcomix has another. By the way, I have owned about 20-30 copies of the regular version and have seen dozens more of it. The normal version goes anywhere from $50-$900 with $125-$200 the normal range
Hope I cleared things up.
Gray?

I'm not sure about the gray reference either? I've the the textured cover version and it's white paper and the other pictured looks like the smooth cover with white paper. What type of paper was the gray one?.
I'll bring to San Diego to. But the cover is grey stock is grey and not white. The problem is my scan that I made for Fogel didn't come out well and you can not see the difference from the scan.
But is the paper textured on the 2 gray ones or smooth?
Looks like $420 is where the market is at on this book, buyer looks like some Corben fan with deep pockets and is in the U.S. Wonder what I could get for my copy in NM+ condition?
Check what the other one will go for. Right now it;s at no bids at $149. It's a tricky book.
