I am helping Dr. S. with a project of his, a write-up on how to add entries to the Wiki.
On my end I am working on a template that people can just cut and paste, filling in the blanks to add the new comix. My question is this, is everyone ok with the format and looks of the following entry?

I have look through a bunch of different ones and find this one to be the neatest and most constructive.

I would move the publisher to a "Publisher" field rather than populate it under the title at the top of the page, or above each printing, as it were. It gets lost there.
Are the fields that are there going to be static? I don't think it's necessary to have multiple fields for cover price, even though some comics (mainly foreign) have multiple currency denominations. I would simply string it all on one line (i.e., Cover Price: $0.25 / $0.35 outside of the Bay Area). Separating it onto multiple lines implies that there are multiple versions, each with a different price.
I was just about to post asking about a template for users and looky here. Thats a great suggestion and I think would be the most useful for all. Some of us are not that computer savvy when it comes to that type of stuff. The format looks fine to me Jason. Good Job !!

Looks good, I'm not a fan of the box look but it'll do. Is it really necessary to have a box around the cover though? And can we have a spot next to the cover for scans of the back cover?

That's good suggestion on back cover scan 50 cents. Some backcovers nicer than front & sometimes different with print change.

The backcover ? led me to ask if a place for IFC or IBC should be included also? If this is going to be the place that puts all the info together then I think there is a need there. MY 2cents!

I updated the entry again and removed the boxes from around the pictures and tells.

The layout and info in that example seem pretty succinct to me. I guess some space would be needed if the points were located within the book or the indicia on the ifc, or some weird ad variant, but overall it's a really nice template. You done good, sir!

I think it looks better when you can see all the info. on one screen and with the covers that spread across the whole book it will look better also. You others agree?

About the only thing I would suggest probably can't be done. I'll have to check the "Help" files to see if such coding exists.
Constrain the Titling column to a specific width.
Expand the info column to a percentage of the available screen.
Make the info column word-wrap within the available space.
Nope. That stuff isn't supported. Now I'm looking through some wiki plugins.
It's looking a lot better.
So are we done here? I will get the template sorted out...

I doubt it would be easy, but is there some way that when you upload a cover scan that it will automatically make it a clickable thumbnail and post the thumbnail instead of the full size scan?

As of this date, and the available information, no.
<shrug> Without some online automated application, I don't see it happening on this Wiki.

Hmmmm...
I think it is going to be a stretch just to get people to scan the front and back cover. I have already spoken to some that said they will only be scanning the front.
