Are you sure it's actually Air Pirates?

Yep, nothing to do with Air Pirates other than the image used was the image the Air Pirates swiped for the cover of Air Pirates #1. Here's the item offered in the Heritage auction:

OK, wasn't aware that the Air Pirates #1 was a swipe of an actual Mickey Mouse cover, thanks.

Isn't it from a big-little book called "The Mail Pilot" 1933 or 1935?  I forget which.

correct, the auction description says the BLB was from 1933.
