Canon's new camera is being released (body only $2,700) and shoots 1080 HD video also.  Here is some impressive video shot with it (unprocessed, raw) and this is only at 1/4 resolution do to download limitations.  It's just mind boggling...

Get's so hot that 3 minutes recommended and then at least 2 minutes off.  Good thing it comes with rechargeable batteries.
