Okay, I'm looking for which comix this story came from, and I can't remember which one it is.  I'm pretty sure it's by Tim Boxell.

Anthromorphic wolf is fishing off of a dock.  He catches a mermaid, chops off the tail from the body, and carries the tail-part away, saying something like "It's a nice day for fishing.", or something like that.

Anyone remember which comix that one came from?

I remember  the story, but not the comix.
I'm gonna guess Califonia Comix?

Naw, it was Bizarre Sex #2, in the first story entitled "Heads or Tails".
