Annoying Coworkers

Do any of you have an annoying coworker that drives you batshit crazy?

The building I work in is almost 200 years old and the walls are very thin. The person that sits on the other side of one of the walls I'm next to likes to whistle the same fucking tone deaf notes over and over again throughout the day. He has a few songs in his repertoire, though it's usually the jingle from the old Toys R Us commercials ("I don't wanna grow up") or "If I only had a brain" from the Wizard of Oz. When he's not whistling, he's clucking his tongue. Sometimes he even breaks out in song, but that's on rare occasion.

After six months of this, I'm just about ready to fit myself for a straightjacket.  :disgust:

I would feel sorry for you but I taught HS in NYC for 30 years.

Sir Real

LOL!  At least he doesn't think of you as his best friend.  I've got a "best friend" here that constantly interrupts me with the dumbest damn questions you've ever heard...

"How can I look like I'm not sleeping at my computer, when I'm really just deep in thought?"

If that man ever had a deep thought, he'd freakin' drown.

Que Sera, Sera! I've been singing that to myself for the past five minutes. Why? That's another of his songs and he's probably whistling it today, but I'm so used to hearing it and tuning it out, it crept into my mind like a virus without me knowing. FUCK! It's time to put on the headphones.

Rev, just return the favor. Or take to tapping a snappy rhythm on the wall with a pencil!

Heh.  When I was working for a big co. in the San Francisco Bay area the guy in the cubicle next to me really DID fall asleep at his computer from time to time.  He even SNORED, fer Ghod's sakes!
