First appearance of God Nose in print???

So the first print of God Nose came out Fall of 1964, but I've come across this April 1964 issue of Texas Ranger that has an appearance of this character.  I don't have any other TR's to see if there is any other issues with him, but this appears to have come out before the original issue.
