50Cent #II (1st print)

Doesn't look like it to me, it's a textured paper and it appears older.  Since it's from Albert's wife, I don't think it is.

Took a chance on this listing without a pic. and no description of the cover price and it arrived today.  It's a first print and the edition I was hoping for (the other edition of Adventures of Fat Freddy's Cat has a yellow cover and is similar in format to the old Garfield books).  I don't think I've seen any 1st prints on eBay before and think these are really hard to find ($3.95 cover price), usually they are all 2nd prints with $4.95 cover prices.

50Cent #II (1st print)

Here's one that I know myself and a few people have been searching for.
Saw it for sale and asked what they expected for it, they said $250-300.  I let them know that the 2006 FUG had it for $35 (NM 9.4) and the HRP was $67 and wished them luck.  They responded with something more reasonable.  I probably still overpaid, but I know that this one doesn't show up that often.
Note that some copies have the .50 cent cover price stamped on it in green/blue and some don't.

My Horrific Romance finally arrived today (seller said he took so long to ship because he misplaced my Money Order?).
This one is a beauty and in NM condition.
I was surprised to find it is smaller than a normal comic, being from the U.K. I thought it would be magazine size.  Whoever cut it used a dull blade and it's rough on the edges though.
This has to be my favorite U.K. underground (and my Nasty Tales #1 arrived today too, but this is a much nicer find).  High Quality paper and cover, beautiful and twisted art...

Mine's exactly the same.  I think Matthews says on the inside that he cut them by hand.  It shows and adds a little charm to the proceedings....don't you think?  I'm in agreement with you on it being my fave UK UG.....I especially love the lurid colors of the covers! Congrats on a fine score, indeed!

This beauty just arrived today from Germany.
It's not Ug but kind of related.
Contains so much art or writings by so many of the big names of the Beat generation.

Cover is by Branaman (interestingly his name is spelled Brannaman, so searching I find some stuff of his credited that way) and many pieces inside including Dion Wright, Burroughs, Ginsberg, Ferlinghetti, Michael Bowen, Dennis Hopper, Deanwell (could this be their friend Dean Stockwell?) and Bruce Conner just to name a few, printed by Charles Plymell in 1965 on the same Multilith that Zap Comix #1 would be printed on 3 years later.

I hate when I have to exchange to Euros and send out payment but...

50Cent #II (1st print)

I'm sure you know this already, but a German pfennig was a German cent, so this was 1 Deutch Mark before they went to Euros.  I'm a bit curious about this item that states 1971 on it.  It was printed in Holland (they used Guilders and cents) but with the German price I think this was printed for the German market?

wpbooks

All the lingo on the cover is german...strange the Dutch connection, though....BTW, I just like the word 'Pfenning"....it's that PF together thing...it's like K and B in comedy...shit makes me laugh...who knows why????? It's Pfunny to me....

50Cent #II (1st print)

I believe the literal translation on the cover is "a real release print" or it's stating "a authorized release printing" if my German isn't that faded.

50Cent #II (1st print)

Was surprised I won this one, it's an error copy that has the guts printed upside down.

50Cent #II (1st print)

Won this lot from mmokken, has this French Ug called Surprise #5 with a nice Geiser cover (seems that there are 2 covers from the series not scanned for the Wiki, but this isn't one of them).
