$1,990 (but what's the deal with the $1,500 to $1,990 bump?  Did the bidder bid against himself or was the reserve really $1,990?  Still more than twice what I thought it would go for.   Might break HRP with over 1 hour to go.

This is not a crazy price, it is actually a great price. Two in 9.6 with stickers with green labels sold for $2k through Heritage for $2k each. And our favorite dentist paid $5k on ebay. When I needed the sucker, 10 years ago, I  was willing to go $1.5k for a sharp one. (Only got a vg+ for $350.) Over the years, I have had about 20-30 Zap 1s. (6 right now) but only 2 Snatch 1s with the opportunity to buy maybe 2 more. (Both recently) Except for the historic nature, this is a better book to invest in that Zap 1. Of course Zap 1 is what I am buying since it is what it is. But, don't under rate the Snatch Of course if any one has a sharp copy for $1.5k or $1900 let me know.

The dentist paid $5K?, that would be a new HRP.
Maybe a better investment?  There was 800 copies of this printed, and there are around 3,000 copies of Zap #1 (1st) that hit the streets.

perhaps he bumped it up to meet the reserve (ie found out the reserve through the seller). 

who was the under bidder (only 97 feedback) and not much action in undergrounds... does there appear any flim flam / shilling?

i contacted the seller about this auction after roymichael pointed it out to me.  i asked the seller if anything else could be expected and she replied this to be her only underground comix.

Isn't comixman Dr. Benway from the other boards? I haven't seen him post in a while. He has a pretty nice collection, I'm sure.
