"Woe be unto him who opens one of the seven gateways to hell, because through that gateway evil will invade the world."

50Cent #II (1st print)

I was looking up recipes earlier and accidentally pasted the wrong URL here.  :laughing7:

To answer your question, no, the Creepies (and Eeries as it were) are long gone.

I need to find someone who has a collection they want to part with or buy a lot of them.

Gore Shriek is a title that comes to mind...post UG but in the spirit...Cry For Dawn, perhaps, as well? Just a few titles from my collection that come to mind.  A late 80's DC title called Wasteland is one I liked a bit.  All stories written by Del Close and John Ostrander with a revolving series of artists.  It was a noble experiment and more weird than horror but definitely UG inspired...even a Harvey Pekar/R. Crumb parody in one of the issues.  Hope that helps.

Reverend

Gore Shriek is definitely a worthy title. We discussed it somewhere on this board, once before.

I see someone picked up The Boogins from Mile High, as they now only have one issue left for sale. Whoever you are, let me know what you think when you get it. I think it's an awesome effort that really hasn't been properly recognized anywhere. They aren't easy to find, either, which is likely why.

By the way, Mike Roden contributed some artwork to #6, which is mentioned here: http://homepage.mac.com/dalecoovert/MRC_Boogins_6.html.

ok, I will!  :01_bounce:

I had $10 in free comics that was burning a hole in my pocket, so I picked them up.

Another get example on why not to post eBay links.

Yeah... I love that title.

I am missing one issue and then I have them all as far as I know.

I think this is about the best horror comic book out there right along with Slow Death and Skull.

First, it wasn't an eBay link, it was a Mile High listing.

Second, what's wrong with sharing information? He didn't want the books since he already had them, so he posted the link so if someone wanted to buy them, they could. If he wanted to keep them quiet, he could have.  :01_wtf:

Visitor Q

Thanks for pointing that out.

It's more like mid to late '80s and going forward but if you can take a bit of gay and/or transvestite content you might check out Bobby Tran Dale. His main book was Homoeroticon but I'm not sure if he's still doing it any more...

Check the "and ABOUT THIS ZINE..." link after that big illo...
