Anyone interested in having a history section (by people in the know if any are out there) on this site for the legal challenges and hurdles that underground publishers had to jump through to publish or sell? Would be interesting stuff to read.

The phrase "Action 1 of the Undergrounds"
makes my skin crawl.

My only legal troubles were when Big Rapids Distribution went into bankruptcy because several of the Drug Stores, Head Shops, Book Stores, and Comic Shops were not paying them for the comix Big Rapids set them up with. We had sent Big Rapids a shipment of Tales of Lost TImes # 1. I received copies of the court documents filed by the Debtor, Big Rapids Distribution, in the United States Bankrupcy Courts Eastern District of Michigan Southern Division against the various defendants. The most recognizable named defendant there was "We Got Comics" owned by Bob Sidebottom. I don't know how the bankruptcy turned out for Big Rapids Distribution, but I received no funds. Nor do I know if any of the Defendants paid up their accounts to Big Rapids. I assume I could post the documents as they are public record, but I do not know how each claim turned out. That is my only legal experience in underground publishing and distribution.
