Just wondering if anyone knows who listed the HOLY GRAIL not on eBay?  If you don't know and can't find it please don't ask me.  Please don't post it here in case anyone here is trying for it.

Is the seller from Albany, CA that you refer to??? That Holy Grail???

I don't see any location listed.  I think I see the one you're talking about and that's not it, it's not on eBay.
It could be the 9.0 copy I held at the Wizard World L.A. that was owned by a friend of Dan's.
It's THE Holy Grail for UG collectors in general.

Well, keeee-ryst, it's pretty obvious it's Plymell, isn't it?

We all have Google.

Is it phoenix? I'm playing coy, but anyone could find that one now in about 10 seconds.

That's definitely not a CGC 9.0 so no.  Only 6 copies on the census in the same or higher grade.

This thread is pretty lame... Sorry. For someone who never had a problem with this in the past.

Just say it or move on.

Cripes.  :angry7:

ps. I mean no offense but seriously.

The funny thing is, "holy grail" means a lot of things to a lot of people. For me, it's most assuredly not a Plymell.

Odd, I didn't link to the auction because of all the discussions you had about this in the past...

...and I can totally respect that but I just did not get the whole change in tune is all. I mean to me, what is good for one post is good for them all in my eyes but I don't want to get into that whole thing again. Trying to be respectful here but I just don't see the point in beating around the bush when it was never an issue for you prior to come right out with it is all.

Actually, I'd be more likely to buy a 5.5 than a 9.0, to be honest. Mostly because of the cash outlay, of course, but I think the mid-grade copies also have a lot of potential for growth (not as much as high grade, but I can't afford $10,000-15,000+ for high grade).

Looks like the $7,500 didn't meet reserve and the Buy It Now price is $10k.  Was on auction at Comic Link and ended I think yesterday, now listed in the regular section.

Since this is the "mystery" thread, I'll add one. Are any of you the person who bought the Zap #0 (1st) on eBay? Someone listed one with a low starting bid and didn't mention it was a 1st, but you could tell from the picture. All of the sudden today the auction is ended early because "the item is no longer for sale". I'm guessing someone made the seller a lowball offer and the seller thought it was a great one and snatched it up.

I e-mailed them if they had a buy it now price in mind, they said they would let the auction decide the market price for it.  Wasn't me, but guess they changed their mind.
