You missed it because the seller ended it early, it didn't sell for $6.01.

yas, i missed that little statement.  i thought it ended w/ no bids!

I wonder if Tony got cold feet about selling this when he didn't get any early bids on it. I'm sure someone would have jacked the price up eventually.

Damn!  Someone got a steal for that Jubilee.

I had that one on my watch list, but passed on it. To be honest, that book looks kind of dopey just going by the cover. Is there anything decent in there or is it just valuable because it's Rick Griffin and has a small print run?

I've been spending way too much on eBay lately, so I'm going to have to go into cutback mode again.

+1 to everything you just said.

I don't get that book and I just ordered a new PC last night, I am spent on comix for a while.

I don't have a copy and never cared to, to be honest. Dopey is definitely a good word to describe the cover. It sort of reminds me of Foopgoop Frolics, a comic that is on the cusp of being something that it's not. I wouldn't turn down a copy for free, but it's not something I'd spend a considerable chunk of money on.

I just flipped through my copy of Jubilee and noticed that the lead story is by Craig Yoe who these days is associated with the Muppets. I like his "Arf" series a lot. I didn't realize that he was publishing work as far back as 1975, but then again, what do I know? I like Jubilee. It reminds me of Promethean Enterprises in it's varied approach to artists and content. It has several pages of Basil Wolverton, a Graham Ingles EC reprint and other vintage reprints along with Original comic contributions. The odd thing about it is the "religious" overtone that some of the strips have.

Yeah, I agree.  I like the Jubilee also...

Hence my love for the great Foopgroop Frolics...It's Wolverton BIG, BEEFY And full of MEGA-MOXIE! Not to mention some spiffy R. Griffin lettering.....Love it so much I couldn't pass up buying 2....One to keep minty fresh and one to keep on the bookshelf for a quick pick me up now and then...goes good with Green Tea....

I was surprised to learn recently that the book common types of Barflyze (1974) you usually see with an all red cover is actually a later printing.
