My idea for a sequel to Aliens...

50Cent #II (1st print)

Aliens is one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies and I was disappointed with the 3 and 4. I always thought it would be great to make a sequel of the 2nd one (Aliens) from where that story ends and that could be cut in between 3 and 4 to branch off, still allowing 3 and 4 to work. So here's my suggestion from an idea I've had since I first saw Aliens in the theater, and more so when I saw Aliens 3.

At the end when Ripley comes out on the platform, and Bishop is gone with the ship, then Bishop appears with the ship. Next scene is Ripley looking at Hicks who's in stasis and Bishop saying not to bother him... this, I think was really meant to imply that Bishop was really programmed to also save the crew, but also bring back an Alien for the company. So while Bishop is away, he's gotten a face sucker to plant an egg in Hicks. This would change Bishops character to actually a good (protagonist) and bad (antagonist) guy also, but only for this sequel. They could explain that a Company ship intercepts their aircraft and removes the one from Hicks, killing him (this would explain why he was dead by his stasis bed malfunctioned in #3 when they find the ship) and then lets the ship float in space thinking that if it was found nobody would know any different. And since the series never took place on Earth, the final sequel should finally arrive with Aliens on Earth (and not this AvP crap). They could have it be like the movie Aliens, but on Earth, with the whole military base with hi-tech weapons against a bunch of Aliens the Company working for the government has cloned inside a lab in the military base...

Wouldn't have to have Ripley or anyone from the series, and could focus on a Sci-Fi action like Aliens (but as I've stated, on Earth).

The next time you watch Aliens, you can see for yourself how this would work.

It's funny you should bring this up because I was just thinking the other day how good a movie Aliens truly is. It is, in my opinion, one of the finest science fiction movies of all time. I liked 3 much less (though the novelization was actually quite enjoyable, adding few juicy tidbits of information that the movie lacked) and 4 even less than that.

Have you seen the director's cut, or whatever they're calling it these days? I'm referring to the version with the restored scenes, one of which is Ripley watching a video of her daughter as an old woman. I loved that scene as it really solidified the sense of despair she was feeling for having been in cryonic sleep for 57 years.

The problem that I had with the Alien series was that 3 negated 1 and 2. 1 and 2 had a tone of the strengh of Ripley and women in general. it showed a triumph over the odds. The 3rd, made to cash in on the first 2, reversed the heroic actions of the first and just left a gloomy feel. Four was running through the motions. AVP returned to spirit of the 1st two (I don't mean to say it was a great movie but it was fun). It was so heroic that my wife wants to beome a predator like the heroine. I got the same vibes to the Matrix series. I loverd one and two but really hated three for its mood reverrsal. One of the fan sites summed up Matrix 3, as fan abuse. I guess I feel that way about both Matrix 3 and Aliens 3.

The Matrix is another of my favorite sci-fi films, but I can't say that about the second one. I suppose I would've liked another movie in-between the first and the second to show more of Neo's transition into reality. I think the second movie went too far, too fast and the third, well, that was just absurd; it may as well have been The Lawnmower Man.

I liked the Matrix 2  because of the chase, the coolness of some characters (the twins) and that it left questions to ponder and discuss for the 3rd one. The 3rd was really bad because it went away from the qualities of the others. In the first two, love was a key element. It saved both Trinity and Neo. In the end movie let's kill off Trinity and then forget about her. (by the way, she was supposed to be pregnant but they chickend out)The other key to the first ones was the Matrix itself. Cool things happened in it. It had style. So, let's forget about the Matrix and spend all of the time in the real world in the finale. Let's have a war scene pitting grubby cliched humans against giant sperm (oops robots) Let's kill off Neo while we are at it. I really hated that movie. Probably more than any movie I ever saw. It surpased Aliens 3 on the hate list.

Hey 50,

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0940430/

I have met that guy before and have a bunch of things signed by him. I also have some really cool Alien comics, one including a really nice hard covered book signed by the artist and the writer. Dark Horse put them out years ago, not sure if there still doing them.

Didn't DarkHorse do the Aliens vs. Predator comics?
Original "Alien" movie when it came out was billed as a space horror film- "In space, no one can hear you scream." Great stuff!
"Aliens" went to more of a Sci-Fi billing. Equally great!
I still perfer the original Predator movie as having the top billing as the best Sci-Fi ever.
Predator Two set up the Aliens vs. Predator stuff (Alien skull in Predator ship display case at end of movie)- what a disappointment the first one P-V-A was.

Time to write a screen play 50!
Read Lost Cause Comix-

Sir Real

Okay, I remember the build-up for the original Alien movie.  The studio and the sets were completely locked down, and very hush-hush.  The creature design and sets by H.R. Giger were absolutely genius, and led me into a life-long love with the guy's art.

"Alien" was a edge-of-the-seat suspense movie.  The action was infrequent and low-key, except for the chest-burster.  Well worth the cost of the ticket.

"Aliens" was a complete action-packed funfest!  No suspense here.  Well, not like the first one, anyways.  They just kept throwing it atcha!  Only a point or two below the original.  Got my money's worth here, too.

The rest just didn't keep the attention that I had expected.

However, I wouldn't mind seeing 50cent's version as a graphic novel.
