What do you think the Feds 'n' Heads is, an ashcan or bootleg?

EggsAckley

Maybe faded from the sun?

Reverend

I'm fairly sure that's the Australian bootleg edition.

What did you lose? True Komix?

50Cent #II (1st print)

Yep, but that lot of Surfers has the one issue I would like also.

The Reverend was correct.  The faded Feds & Heads is the Australian Bootleg !! :01_bounce:

Reverend

Those Aussie bootlegs are very tough to come by.

I believe Sir Real has a copy of this he got with several other Aussie bootlegs. :01_bounce:

I have several Aussie Zaps & Zig Zag Mags.  I have Aussie Zaps # 3, 6, 12, & 69 plus Zig Zag # 9 which has Fritz the cat cover and Clay wilson & crumb pieces :01_bounce:

I have a handful of oddball Australian undergrounds, though I haven't focused as much attention on them as I should have. My main area of focus has been (and is) British undergrounds.

The Aussie bootlegs are a little expensive to ship but interesting as oddball UG pieces.  I like the British editions also.   I have a nice copy of the British  Zap#1 that has no blue and is smaller then the U.S. copies.  Its interesting that the Brit Zap#1 has no copyright or publishing info anywhere in book which leads me to believe it was also bootlegged.  :01_wtf:

I really love the foreign material, especially original works that weren't printed in any other country. There's such a wealth of British material that has fallen into obscurity due to exceedingly small print runs. I have some wonderful comix from the 70s and 80s that only saw between 50 to 200 copies each. That includes full-size comix, tabloids, minis and books, many of which have never been documented anywhere. As such, I can usually get ridiculous deals on these types of items.

As for shipping costs: I think the worst shipping costs I've ever encountered are from Spain. There are a couple of Spanish UGs that I'd like to order but the shipping for one book is almost $40. I'm sure it doesn't need to be quite so high, but I've seen similar shipping costs from different sellers.
